First Time Blogging Tutorial will help beginners as well as advanced bloggers set up a blog using WordPress. I am sure this tutorial will help you.

Hint: After you install WordPress and configure the admin settings, there are two plugins you should install straight away. A backup plugin and a Security plugin.

Click on Step 9 Install Plugins below and select one of the many backup plugins I include in the tutorial. For security install the following plugin All In One WP Security & Firewall.

This plugin has an option to change the database prefix, WordPress always created the default database prefix wp_. This database prefix is known by many hackers. I suggest that you change it now before you begin your blog. This is extremely important for security reasons. If your blog is already published then I strongly suggest that you change it. Remember to create a database backup before you make any changes just in case something happens.

WordPress in my opinion is the simplest, powerful CMS “Content Management System” most widely used blogging platform in the world.

First Time Blogging Using WordPress

In this tutorial you are going to learn how to create a blog by following these instructions. The more blogs you create, the better you will become. The more you use WordPress the more you will get to love it like I do. Experience will give you knowledge and the ability to develop very powerful blogs and in return you will become popular as a blogger. This is a learning curve and I am sure that you will enjoy it very much. That is why you are here reading this tutorial.
