First Time Blogging Add Blog Post

Before you begin setting up your blog make sure you have written some blog posts or content locally in your laptop or desktop ready to publish. You should have an about me page typed up ready for publishing as well. You want to have some content up and running so that it gives visitors something to read. It is pointless to set up all of the above without having any content or information in your blog.

(Important: Remember you need content to attract visitors. It is also great for SEO)

Set up some sort of rules that you will follow from the beginning. For example: Have a plan in place to write 1 blog post per week as minimum and set it up to be published the following week. By doing this, you can have a blog post published weekly. If you really want to get to the top faster make sure it is something that visitors want to read, make sure it interesting and it is related to your blog. I try to publish at least 1 per week.

At the beginning it might feel like a lot and you probably are correct. However, don’t you think that working hard at the beginning will reward you at the end? The hard work and efforts I’ve put into this blog have started to reward me now.

If you have made it this far, congratulations. Well done for reading all my tutorials so far. There are a few more you need to read which take care of managing and maintaining a functional blog after it is published.

I hope you have learned enough to get you started. Your next step is to work towards driving more visitors to your blog, set yourself more goals and keep adding great content.

Other Blogging Areas:

  • Install a new theme or tweak your current theme.
  • Add some style to your site.
  • Use social plugins and services.

(Information: The ultimate to SEO in my humble opinion is great content, which ultimately equals to great traffic.)
