Most of you might be thinking of using The SEO Framework but are a bit hesitant or worried about the SEO data in your site. This very simple tutorial shows you how simple it is using a plugin to transport the data from one plugin/theme. It does not transport the SEO settings from other plugins/theme.

For this example the Yoast SEO data will be analyzed and transported.

What You Need

  • Analyze
  • Convert

Step 3 ) In this example I am going to analyze and convert the SEO data from Yoast SEO to The SEO Framework. The following image shows you the following selection from Yoast SEO to Genesis.

Note: The SEO Framework was originally written to extend the Genesis SEO. That is why in the image below Genesis is selected as the to destination. You can read more about this from the following URL SEO Data Migration.

Step 4 ) The following image Compatible Elements shows you what will be imported from the other SEO plugins or themes if anything is found during the analysis.

Compatible Elements

  • Custom Doctitle
  • META Description
  • META Keywords
  • noindex
  • nofollow
  • Canonical URI
  • Redirect URI
  • Information found if any in the analysis. = In this example only 1 database record was found.

Step 4 ) Once you have analyzed the data, click on Convert button as illustrated in Step 3 ) above. The following image shows you 1 record was updated 1 record was ignored.

Note: This is a testing site so there is not much data to be imported. In your case the results will be larger.

That is how simple it is to import the data records from one SEO plugin or theme into The SEO Framework.
