When installing a new copy of Suffusion Theme or updating the current version test and view your website on any browser. If you are having problems displaying your website, follow these simple instructions.

Latest News: I have reworded the content.

What happened to me was the following, I updated the theme and I was very happy with the results but when I went to view the website it look great on the FrontPage but when I clicked on an earlier post it showed my old theme. I was baffled by this although I had my suspicions that it had to do with the cache either on the browser or my cache plugin.

The first action to take is to delete the cache from the browser or all the browsers if you have more than one. Install or activate your theme and see if it works.

If the above does not work which is what happened to me then perform the following steps.

  1. If you have a cache plugin delete the cache or disable the plugin.
  2. Install your theme or if you have already installed the theme then activate it.
  3. Check to see if the problem is resolved and if it is then enable your cache plugin again.
  4. You might have other plugins that might also cause issues. For example if you use autoptimize, Speed Booster Pack or any plugin that modifies your theme files, css or js files.

The above steps should fix the problem that you might be experiencing with Suffusion Theme. These steps apply locally and or live servers.

If you are running Windows you might want to use the following Utility Tool Ccleaner to help you clean your browser cache and other files that could cause this issue.
