Deleting WordPress Revisions is very important to implement from the beginning. Have you ever wondered why you have so many revisions on your WordPress blog. That can become over whelming and cause the data base to increase in size as your blog grows and slow down your performance. The solution is to install Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions and set it up according to your requirements. This will make your life much easier and your blog will not become cluttered with so many revisions.
Important: I have changed plugins to Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions. This plugin works well with WordPress 3.6.1
It is important to install this plugin from the beginning of your blog or website. If you have already started your blog then that is ok. The reason why I am saying this is because it is easier to troubleshoot any plugins clashing with other plugins from the beginning of your blog then later on when you have so many plugins. Most important if you have a second testing website created then that would simplify your life.
This is a very clean way of editing your database without having to login into your back-end and physically delete or remove some code from WordPress and or MySQL database.
I have also been using another plugin on all my blogs on and off from time to time and it runs well on WordPress 3.6.1. Click on the following WP DBManager to view the plugins information. This plugin does not delete the revisions but it keeps your database up to date and optimize. You can also back up and restore your database which is extremely important.
Hint: It is very important to backup your WordPress especially your database just in case something goes wrong.
I keep updating this post from time to time so keep coming back to view the latest information. If you have any questions please let me know.
