Catablog Shortcode Tutorial Part 4 is an extension from the previous Part 3 tutorial, which adds more shortcode options.

In the following post I will show you how to add a category and an operator to the shortcode. This gives you flexibility on how you want your Catalog to display. Using the operator=”not in” lets you show images that are not in a particular category.

A good example when to use the operator not in would be when you have many images added to a gallery and the images are also added to different categories. You decide you want all your images to appear on your website for the gallery in question except in this instance you don’t want certain images belonging to one category. This gives you great control.

CataBlog Shorcode Tutorial Part 4 Steps

Step 1 )  In the following image you can see the not in operator added with the following category zynga1 to the shortcode.


Step 2 ) The following image displays images that are not in category zynga1.


Step 3 )  Remember in the beginning of these tutorials I setup the LightBox and I only wanted images to be viewed in a new window or tab without the Lightbox effects. The following images displays the image in a new window without the lightbox effect.
