CataBlog Shopping Cart Settings

Step 1 ) We are now going to add some value to our images “products” to sell them. See images below.

Store shortcode example.

  • [ catablog_gallery id=”2″ ]. This shortcode will create the store and display the items in a gallery format with id=”2″ and add the Add to Cart button as illustrated in Step 4 below. (Important your id will be different. Make sure you enter the correct id)
  • [ catablog_gallery id=”2″ category=”selling” ]. This shortcode will do the same as the code above except it will only display the items in category=”selling”.
  • [ catablog template=”new-store” ]. This shortcode will display all your items and a modified store template.

(Remember CataBlog comes with 4 default templates under CataBlog -> Templates -> Views) These templates can be modified in any way that CataBlog will allow. But sometimes you need to carry out some extra modifications of your own. That is when CataBlog -> Templates -> Templates comes into play. Here you create as many different templates as you need. Each template can use any combination of tokens as long as they follow the proper rules. Always remember to add that modified template to the shortcode as illustraed above in the example template=”new-store”.

Important: There are many other shortcode that you can add to display and sell your items.

Step 2 ) Enter a value in Item Price field. You also need to add a price value to the description so the buyer can see how much they the item cost.

Note: Don’t add a currency symbol i.e $. Only add numbers in the following format 10.00 which represents $10.00 if you had USD set up in your store template below in Step 3 ).

Step 3 ) You need to edit the Store template so that PayPal works. You have to enter your PayPal e-mail address and change the currency. There are more advance features that can be added to the template shown in the image below. Click the following link CataBlog Shopping Cart Goods Value Options for more advance features. Remember to always save your changes.

Step 4 ) The next image displays your products with an add to cart button.

Note: The Add to Cart button only appears if you add a value to Item Price.

Step 5 ) The next image shows you the shopping cart. You can also click on Continue Shopping button if you want to shop some more. See image below.

Remember: PayPal is one of the most secured methods for purchasing online. Their server is extremely secured. Shoppers will be happy to use PayPal to shop on your store.
